Senate passes transportation security bills
The Hill
The Senate passed two transportation bills through unanimous consent agreements on Tuesday. H.R. 1204, the Aviation Security Stakeholder Participation Act, directs the assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to establish an Aviation Security Advisory Committee within the Transportation Security Administration. The committee would be tasked with recommending ways to improve aviation security.

Timothy Dunn joins HNTB's aviation practice
HNTB
Timothy Dunn has joined HNTB Corporation as a project manager in the firm’s aviation practice. Dunn brings more than 30 years of management experience in a wide range of mechanical and construction projects. At HNTB, Dunn is responsible for supporting the Philadelphia International Airport’s capital improvement program, including maintaining and ensuring an ongoing state of good repair for mechanical, electrical and other components of passenger facilities in the airport’s terminal buildings. He is based at the firm’s Philadelphia office.

ACC participates in ACRP strategic session
ACC
ACC President T.J. Schulz participated in a meeting of current and past Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Oversight Committee members to explore strategic initiatives for the organization. Participants discussed the current strengths of the ACRP program and research products, along with opportunities to improve the relevancy, distribution and utilization of ACRP research to the broader aviation industry. Schulz serves on the AOC as an Ex-Officio member.
