2014 ACC Young Professionals Innovation Competition Winners Selected
ACC
The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 ACC Young Professionals Innovation Competition. The first place team will present their submission at the February 2015 ACC/AAAE Airport Planning, Design and Construction Symposium in Denver, Colorado.

First place was awarded to a team consisting of Carly Shannon with C&S Companies, Kate Andrus with Mead & Hunt, Inc., Tiffany Jones with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and Karin Holland with Haley&Aldrich for their submission Airports Integrating Resilience (AIR): Airports Learning to Bounce Back. It proposes the development of a virtual sustainability/resiliency workgroup with a foundation built on easily accessible web applications and social media.

Second place was awarded to a team made up of Daniel Schoenberg with RS&H, Daniel Pruim with Myrtle Beach International Airport and Jill Geboy with Jacobs for their submission Augmented Reality &mdahs; Airports in 3-D. This project proposes an augmented reality application for airports to provide critical information to airport staff, creating a safer and more efficient airport environment.
