Save the Date - 2012 International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport

The International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, International Federation of Sports Medicine and the International Council for Sport Science and Physical Education are proud to announce that the next International Convention on Science, Education and Medicine in Sport (ICSEMIS) will be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow, Scotland from July 19-24, 2012. The convention will take place just before the Opening Ceremonies for the 2012 Olympic Games.

ACSM is a proud partner of ICSEMIS. ICSEMIS is the largest sport science and medicine conference in the world, attracting researchers, students and practitioners from across the globe. Attend ICSEMIS and share this unique opportunity for multi-and inter-disciplinary scientific exchange in the days leading up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The 2012 convention theme is “inspiring a learning legacy,” and the sub-themes, designed to attract inter- and multi-disciplinary contributions and focused papers, are:

ICSEMIS welcomes submissions for parallel sessions (i.e. symposium, debate, workshop, meet the expert, master class, roundtable) by Jan. 1, 2011. Submissions should be a maximum of 750 words, including a title, brief synopsis of the session and full details of all proposed speakers. All submissions will be reviewed by the ICSEMIS 2012 Scientific Committee and decisions will be returned by Feb. 1, 2011. Visit www.icsemis2012.com for more information.
