Sears Tower Name Change is Official
from AP the Chicago Sun-Times Known as the Sears Tower since it opened in 1973, the tallest building in the United States is set to change its name to Willis Tower. The London-based insurance brokerage Willis Group Holdings made the name change official with a ceremony at the downtown Chicago skyscraper. Willis is leasing 140,000 square feet and moving 500 employees to the building. More 
U.S. & China Team Up on Cleantech Research
from Reuters U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu has inspired hand-wringing among some companies and trade groups in recent months with calls for the international community to take a “very collaborative” approach to improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Department of Energy offered a first glimpse of how Chu’s vision of collaborative cleantech innovation will really unfold, announcing plans to develop a new U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center, starting with a total of $15 million in funding (split equally) from the two governments.
