The National Insulation Association reports that mechanical insulation could result in savings of $4.8 billion a year for commercial and industrial market segments, as well as carbon dioxide reductions of 43 million metric tons per year—equal to the carbon dioxide reductions if mature trees were planted in an area the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined.
