Vilsack: Dietary guidelines are about health, not environment

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack on Wednesday suggested that, for him, the so-called sustainability issues that have been attached to the upcoming dietary guideline recommendations fall outside the scope of the project. "Our job ultimately is to formulate dietary and nutrition guidelines," he said. "And I emphasize dietary and nutrition because that's what the law says."
