FDA, CDC update Listeria advisory related to Blue Bell Ice Cream
U.S. Food and Drug Administration
Officials with the FDA and the CDC are working with officials in at least three states in the ongoing investigation into a Listeriosis outbreak associated with Blue Bell Ice Cream. They have found three rare strains of Listeria monocytogenes in products that were made at the company's facility in Brenham, Texas. Five illnesses and three deaths have been linked to the outbreak.

Kraft issues wide recall after metal pieces turn up in macaroni and cheese

Kraft Foods Group Inc. said Tuesday it is recalling about 242,000 cases of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese dinners, due to the risk that they may contain small pieces of metal. No injuries have been reported by the eight consumers who have contacted Kraft about the problem.
