FSMA could finally be implemented with election finished
The Huffington Post
Usually, when President Barack Obama has been criticized for moving too cautiously on a given issue, he has been able to blame a divided, obstinate Congress for slowing him down. But when it comes to food safety reform, he may not be able to pass the buck quite so easily — because Congress already gave him the go-ahead to act. More

Food prices to rise for holidays, then more in 2013
U.S. News & World Report
From 2005 to 2011, the average price for turkey went up by 47 percent, compared to 13 percent for all food at home, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Conservative Republicans fight back after Romney loss
    The Washington Post
Evangelical leaders and conservative activists have a simple message for establishment Republicans about Mitt Romney's failed presidential bid: We told you so. After nearly two weeks of listening to GOP officials pledge to assert greater control over the party and its most strident voices in the wake of Romney's loss, grass-roots activists have begun to fight back, saying they are not to blame for the party's losses in November.
