JCK Las Vegas To Debut Brilliant Stars' Commitment
To FAIR Fund In Its Fight To End Human Trafficking

Brilliant Stars announces its support and partnership with FAIR Fund and the introduction of the JewelGirls program to fight human trafficking. JewelGirls is a unique economic empowerment and art therapy program for adolescent girl survivors of human trafficking. These talented young women will be creating jewels and using revenues to support themselves and this cause. Brilliant Stars will be making significant financial contributions and precious gemstone donations to the JewelGirls program run by FAIR Fund. Jewelry created by these young women will be available for sale at JCK Las Vegas.

JewelGirls is unique in that it can fight the injustice of human trafficking, concretely. Adding a sense of worth to the lives of young women and allowing these survivors to believe in themselves is one of the most effective ways of eliminating this horror. Young women will have access to jewelry work shops and a safe haven of support in an otherwise unfair and hostile world. With work shops based in Bosnia, Serbia, Russia, Uganda, and Washington D.C., young survivors of this horrific crime will be mentored and taught to create jewelry. Girls will gain access to this therapeutic activity while building new life skills, financial management skills, and a pathway towards a future free of poverty and violence.

"There is no cause that has ever effected my emotions as much as the growing phenomenon of human trafficking. As an executive who travels the world, I feel there is nothing more disturbing than to see and hear about children who have been victimized. As a parent of young children, I just couldn't stand by and ignore this global tragedy any longer," said Rodney Rahmani, President and Chief Designer of Brilliant Stars. "With JewelGirls, the jewelry industry and consumers, as a whole, can directly help innocent children to put their lives back together and be less susceptible to trafficking altogether, " he continued. "We are honored to now be partnered with Fair Fund and its valiant founder, Andrea Powell."

Andrea Powell said, "We are so very fortunate to have Brilliant Stars afford us the opportunity to launch our JewelGirls line. We never thought we could have someone come along as generous as Rodney Rahmani and the Brilliant Stars company! The girls are ecstatic to have this amazing opportunity!"

JewelGirls presents an actual business model to fight human trafficking. As jewels are created by young survivors, Brilliant Stars and FAIR Fund will be able to assist in selling these creations and to directly produce income for girls and the human trafficking cause. The model is fully expandable and can be implemented in any affected country with positive results.
