 Conferences

As an industry professional, do you find it worthwhile to join bar and trade associations, and attend their conferences? Here's why your participation is so vital:

When you join, your membership dues support the associations' many initiatives. They include: keeping you updated (collections industry news, changes, regulations, certifications, more); lobbying on your behalf; monitoring court cases of importance to your business; offering members-only Webinars; and so much more.

When you attend, you have many opportunities to hear, be heard, even find new business. Be the first to learn what's happening in the collections industry. Attend industry-specific Continuing Legal Education programs. Share what you know with attendees. And, of course, network. Bonus: If you're listed with one of the premier law lists, their staff will amplify your own networking efforts by obtaining the roster of people signed up for conference meetings, provide those lists to you in advance, identify attendees who have business to send, even help you connect with people you'd most like to meet. I hope to see you there!

The TCPA regulates telephone solicitations and the use of automated telephone equipment. In addition, the TCPA limits the use of automatic dialing systems, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, SMS text messages and fax machines, to initiate any telephone call to any residential telephone line, for collection or otherwise.
