 Century

The American Lawyers Company was founded in 1899. Does anyone remember what life was like in 1899? No cars. No television. No women voting. Certainly no internet (and even if we had had any of the above, there was no electricity in our homes to power any of it), and the only thing that was imported from China was silk and tea. While much has changed in 115 years, some things stay the same. ALQ remains the leading list of collection and bankruptcy law firms in the world.

Corporate Counsel (registration required)
Three recent high-profile arbitral awards highlight the risks of arbitration and demonstrate that, contrary to widespread belief, arbitration is often not cheaper, faster or more predictable than litigation. These three awards, as well as emerging trends in arbitral proceedings, call into question the common practice among corporations of including contractual provisions mandating arbitration in the event of any disputes.

What are people saying about you?
ACA International
Collection professionals are no strangers to negative publicity and reputational issues. Members of the media, regulators and the general public frequently portray collection agencies and their employees in a negative light. What our clients have to say:
Federated Capital Corporation has been using American Lawyers Quarterly for about two years now. We are delighted with the results. The attorneys are very efficient and always looking out for us, while keeping recoveries as high as possible. We currently have attorneys outside our home offices of MI and UT that we consistently refer cases to. Jeremy Brown is our contact at ALQ and is always available and responds to any request in a timely fashion. When we are in need of an attorney in a specific area, ALQ is the first place we look and will continue to do so.

— Stella Shananaquet, Legal Administrator, Portfolio Services, Federated Capital Corporation, Farmington Hills, Michigan

Our firm has been on ALQ's list and has received many files over the years. Just recently, we have acquired a client who has files nationwide and we began using ALQ's services to find collection attorneys throughout the nation. ALQ is great at finding competent attorneys throughout the United States, and their attorneys are professional, hard working and easy to deal with. Our firm is very grateful for ALQ's services.
