 Welcome

One of the great things about my job is that I get a chance to meet so many truly nice people. And as 2012 draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to offer my appreciation. If you are a client, thank you for the choice you have made to do business with ALQ. If you are a prospective client, thank you for giving us the chance to get to know you and your business. And if you have referred business to ALQ and its network of law firms, thank you for that vote of confidence. In every case, we'll keep working to earn your trust and provide the kind of relationship that you deserve.

"We are so often caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate the journey, especially the goodness of the people we meet on the way." Author unknown

Have a safe and Happy New Year, and make great things happen in 2013!

The state has settled with one of the nation's largest debt collectors in a 2011 lawsuit that accused the company of using "false and deceptive" practices to collect debts owed by Minnesota residents. In her lawsuit filed against Midland Funding in March 2011, state Attorney General Lori Swanson alleged the company's St. Cloud office would "robo-sign" affidavits for collection lawsuits, falsely stating it had proof of a consumer's debts. TVNewsCheck    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
There have been a number of major national cases over the past several years where experienced collection companies were able to collect debts in full while creditors who agreed to a standard plan or tried to negotiate with the debtor ended up with lots of hassles and very little recovery. Eyewitness News was with Rob Mayoko as he got a look inside his new home recently in Charlotte, N.C.'s Steele Creek area. "I like the area. It's really quiet." Mayoko said. What our clients have to say:
As a third generation member of the CLLA, I appreciate the long standing traditions of excellence in our industry. No firm exemplifies long standing service and excellence better than ALQ. My family has had the pleasure of both forwarding and receiving business over the ALQ. My grandfather was a co-founder of a commercial agency that used the ALQ beginning in 1927. In 1952 my father opened what is now Lloyd & McDaniel, and became a listed attorney with the ALQ. Our firm has continued the relationship all of these years, and through it all ALQ has distinguished itself as an exemplary industry leader.

— James M. "Buck" Lloyd, Attorney, Lloyd & McDaniel, PLC, Louisville, Ky.

ALQ has consistently provided UMC with the best possible creditor's rights legal representation available. On those rare occasions when we needed help getting a status report, their service has been outstanding. We highly recommend ALQ because of the quality of the listees, their outstanding service, and the best bond in the business.

— Roger W. Devonshire, President, UMC, Allison Park, Pa.
