Overtime Rule Nears Final Phase, ASA and Others Fight to Halt
American Supply Association
Last week, legislation was introduced to put a halt to the fast-moving changes to Overtime classification. The Protecting Advancement and Workplace Opportunity Act would require the Department of Labor to first conduct a comprehensive economic analysis on the impact of mandatory overtime expansion to small businesses, nonprofits, and public employers. As leading members of the Partnership to Protect Workplace Opportunity lobbying team, ASA continues meeting with members of Congress in support of this legislation and passage into law. We also look forward to more than 200 industry leaders from Affiliated Distributors descending upon Capitol Hill in three weeks fighting for this change. Read our letter of support here.More

The final report will be the first of its kind since the end of the "great recession" to provide such comprehensive, comparative compensation data. And given the roll-out of changes to health care insurance stemming from the Affordable Care Act, this information will be extremely valuable. Wholesaler members will receive a copy of the final report in exchange for having completed the survey questionnaire - at no fee. March 31 is the absolute deadline. LEARN MOREMore
