ASA Materials Market Digest©

According to PetroChemWire, Harvey shut down some 80.0 percent of Texas’ ethylene production, the main feedstock for PVC. Additionally, much PE and HDPE production had been curtailed. While plastic producers have steadily recovered, various among them are still plagued by plant damage and, more so, transportation snags, including a shortage of trucking capacity.
