Essentials of Profitable Warehouse Operations© Goes Global Again

It's that time of year; Christmas appears in stores and Bob Footlik's students are ready for their Essentials of Profitable Warehouse Operations© final exam. Since 2009, students in Footlik's Industrial Technology and Management courses at the Illinois Institute of Technology have been using the Essentials of Profitable Warehouse Operations© to learn about warehouse operations. This year, his 16 international students from Korea, Guatemala, China, India, Pakistan, Brazil, France and Spain, along with two American-born, fully employed Internet students are taking the final exam in parallel with their class work.More

ASA Releases Monthly Pulse Report for October

ASA member wholesaler-distributors reported a median sales growth of 6.9% for the month ending Oct. 31, compared to the same month last year. Calendar year-to-date, all respondents reported a median sales increase of 5.1%, with 5.0% and 4.7% increases in the PHCP and industrial PVF segments, respectively. For the trailing 12 months, respondents reported a median sales increase of 5.2% for PHCP distributors and 4.7% for PVF distributors.
