ASA Executive Committee Looks Towards Future Growth
American Supply Association
This week, the ASA Executive Committee met in Chicago to map out the 2015 ASA Budget and new initiatives which will be presented to the full Board of Directors meeting in Las Vegas on Sept. 9. The volunteer leaders and staff discussed the need for an industry study to determine how to help lay out the magnitude of the PHCP and Industrial PVF distribution channel. With this information, the Execs are looking to effectively expand the branding and marketing efforts for the association, a more aggressive career recruitment effort for the industry, as well as maintain support from our plumbing partners with their skills development contest, and a greater, more visible, presence at the KBIS and Builders Show next year in Las Vegas. They continue to focus on strengthening the overall financial picture of the association while also expanding the value of membership and its core pillars.

By Michael J. Berens
Depending on who you want to believe, Americans either are continuing the recent trend of flocking to the cities or they are starting to migrate back to the suburbs. Both scenarios appear possible according to recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The reason? Improvements in the economy are aligning with major life-stage shifts in the adult population that impact housing choices.
