Businesses Send 50 Pages of Names in Opposition to Estate Tax Changes
American Supply Association
Last week, thousands of businesses and business groups including ASA and members of ASA wrote to the Treasury Secretary objecting to plans to make it far more difficult to pass along shares of family-owned businesses. The letter, signed by small business in 50 states stated simply that, “the regulations, will have a detrimental effect on family-owned businesses because they could increase estate and gift taxes by 30 percent or more, divert capital from business investment, threaten jobs, and force families to sell their businesses to outsiders…These proposed regulations would throw the succession and estate planning of thousands of family-owned manufacturers into disarray, increase tax bills and impose additional planning and legal costs on these businesses, drawing valuable resources away from the ability of family businesses to grow, invest and create jobs.”

ORC Continues Success at NETWORK2016
American Supply Association

SPC Baskis speaks to the IPD
Breakfast about his experiences
and even cracks a couple of jokes.
Since 2013, ASA has been raising funds for Operation: Rise & Conquer, a program that sends wounded veterans out to the Adaptive Sports Center in Colorado to participate in winter and summer outdoor adventure activities. It helps them regain confidence and increase their overall health and well-being.

At NETWORK2016 in New York City, ASA was proud to have Army SPC Steve Baskis in attendance to talk about his story and how this program has personally helped him and others in similar situations. In addition to another generous $25,000 donation from Fluidmaster and their product packaging campaign, ASA members pooled together to donate over $20,000 during the IPD & Plumbing Breakfasts, and more donations are still coming in. ASA has now raised $65,000 with hopes of hitting the annual goal of $100,000 for 2016.

UnleashWD Can Enhance the Culture of Your Company
American Supply Association
“I think Dirk has put together a wonderful venue for different companies to discuss innovation. Like, how do you get your hands around a process to change the culture of the company? I think what you begin to look at is that it's a long-term process, and it never ends. I think that’s great. It's fluid; it's moving in a process from vision to culture, to the value proposition.” – Don Polletta, VP Marketing & Employee Development, Torrco.
