With that behind us, today, a number of legislative priorities important to the American Supply Association were introduced in the 113th Congress. More

World Plumbing Day March 11
American Supply Association    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
World Plumbing Day, to be recognized on Monday, March 11, is an international event initiated by the World Plumbing Council to recognize the vital and largely misunderstood role that plumbing plays in everyone's daily lives. The aftermath of events such as last year's Hurricane Sandy, 2010's devastating earthquake in Haiti and the 2011 tsunami in Japan reveal how easy it is to take for granted the availability of safe drinking water and sufficient sanitation systems — until those systems cease to function properly. Click here to learn more about World Plumbing Day and what your company can do to recognize our industry's important role in keeping society healthy and safe.

Will a 'Dollar Implosion' Ignite a Currency Depression in the Foreseeable Future?
The Desert Sun    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Morris Beschloss writes, "The gloom and doom purveyors that have periodically peddled gold, rare metals like platinum, and a wide range of commodities as a major substitute for dollar-based stocks and bonds, seem to have been joined by more conventional TV pundits, who are anticipating a massive dollar implosion due to an out-of-control debt, and a consequent downgrading of U.S. Treasury-related trillions of dollars in debt paper. The favorite comparison to America's current currency peril is the fact that this nation is treading the same downward path as Greece, Spain, Portugal, and other bottom-band Eurozone members." More
