ASA on the Road for Annual Blitz
American Supply Association
Ten of the American Supply Association's 14 staff members recently divided into four teams for its fourth annual member and prospect blitz. The teams visited 50 companies, including members and new member prospects throughout California, northern Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Each team met with the leadership of each wholesaler and manufacturer company for an in-depth conversation about the benefits that ASA offers and to help them understand how to best leverage the association’s programs and services. Since the inception of the blitz campaign four years ago, ASA staff has personally visited 275 companies, bringing ASA to the doorstep of current and potential member companies in 44 states.

Lead Wisely
American Supply Association
For more than 30 years, ASA's annual Operating Performance Report has been a customized, easy-to-understand and actionable solution that helps owners and managers to quickly evaluate operating results, identify profit leaks and measure employees' productivity. One reason why is because the OPR helps you to find clarity in a sometimes overwhelming sea of information. Participating wholesalers need to submit data by June 5 and can expect to receive their company-customized and full-industry reports on or before July 10, because they will be made available electronically in both PDF and XLS formats. Real Leaders Aren't Just the People at the Top
Wholesalers Association of the North East
On Oct. 12, 2000, 11 months before the 9/11 attacks, al Qaeda detonated a bomb alongside the U.S.S. Cole in the port of Aden in Yemen. The ship's commander, Kirk Lippold, USN (Ret.), knew in a matter of moments that the Cole had been attacked. What he didn't know was how much the world was changing around him. At WANE's 2015 Executive Leadership Conference on June 17-19 in Annapolis, Commander Lippold will discuss the principles that guided his crew to save the ship from that devastating attack, revealing insights that help us to make decisions based on integrity in good times and bad. Lawmakers in America's largest oil-producing state scrambled to limit local energy exploration prohibitions after Denton, a university town near Dallas, passed an ordinance in November against hydraulic fracturing or fracking, attempting to keep encroaching drilling bonanzas outside their community.
