Item of Interest
With much of Washington departed for the Easter weekend, late Friday the White House announced that it was once again delaying the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline after more than five years of study, debate, and review. Many believe this is a political decision with mid-term elections in mind, but for those red-state Democratic senators in tight races, a yet-to-be determined outcome may leave them vulnerable.

ASA will continue to push for this project's approval and support an all-of-the-above energy policy that does not pick winners and losers and encourages energy exploration from multiple sources.

And it keeps environmentalists at bay, boosting hopes that President Barack Obama might still swing their way.

High Court to Decide Fate of Renegade Television Service
The Hill
The Supreme Court is primed to make a decision on copyright law that could change the way people receive broadcast television. Broadcasters are fighting to stop the tech service Aereo, arguing it operates illegally and undermines their business. They say allowing the service to continue could spell the end of free, over-the-air broadcast television.
