That's why St. Cloud Hospital officials are counting on their $240 million expansion and renovation project to take health care safety to a new level. Chillicothe, Mo., residents to vote on new hospital

Chillicothe, Mo., voters will decide whether or not to build a new hospital. Construction would require use of the current half-cent capital improvement sales tax, but would not require a tax increase for residents of Chillicothe. The current hospital, Hedrick Medical Center, is owned by the city and was built in the 1930s. The city also would own the new hospital if the proposition passes. Consultants advised the city that building a new facility would be more cost-effective.More

Omaha to get multimillion-dollar VA project

Omaha's aging veterans' hospital is a step closer to a $564 million new tower and facelift. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs announced that $56 million has been budgeted in 2011 for planning and design of the project. Construction could begin in 2012.More
