H1N1 flu spikes in the Southeast

ABC News staff writer Michael Smith reported on a surge of H1N1 influenza-related cases being seen currently in Georgia, with 40 people admitted to the hospital so far, according to Anne Schuchat, MD, director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. In a recent press conference, Schuchat said that Georgia has seen a spike of laboratory-confirmed H1N1 influenza cases admitted to hospitals for the past three weeks. More

American Baptist Homes of the Midwest is employing a thermal remediation technique to rid a bedbug infestation at the property, according to KCCI-TV. The bedbug problem, which has led to a class-action lawsuit being filed in Polk County District Court after a building manager failed to address the situation, has been ongoing for months and left as many as 250 tenants with bites all over their legs, arms, back and face, the story stated. More



Hospital ER uses text messages to tell patient wait times
