Health disparities experienced by our minority communities, as well as the poor and underserved, continue to be a challenge for all health systems. This Diversity Dialogue will examine the interrelationships between diversity and inclusion, culturally competent care, community partnerships and population health strategies. Additionally, we will discuss metrics and incentives to help promote a culture of health equity, diversity and inclusion.

- Understand the relationship between patient adherence to treatment and cultural competence

#123forEquity Training Symposium July 27, 8:00 a.m.- Noon PT, San Diego
The #123forEquity Training Symposiums were developed to help #123forEquity pledgers and endorsers successfully realize progress in three key areas that will provide the greatest opportunities for hospitals and health systems to improve the equity of health care delivered by:

2017 Fall Enrichment Program – Advance degree Internship Program in Health care Management
We are accepting host sites and graduate student applications for the 2017 Fall Enrichment Program (FEP) that begins October 2. This year, FEP is a 20-week, paid internship opportunity for academically strong, diverse individuals that have graduated within the last two (2) years from their advance degree program. 2017 Certificate in Diversity Management Cohort Starts October 2 - Registration opens in July
The Certificate in Diversity Management in Health Care (CDM) is a 12-month fellowship designed and taught by leading health care diversity practitioners. The CDM is a one-of-kind comprehensive diversity certificate designed to build leadership competencies of health care leaders charged with managing or leading diversity initiatives in their health care organizations. The CDM is a recognized credential by the American Hospital Association, the American Leadership Council on Diversity in Healthcare and the Health Research & Educational Trust.

The Executive Diversity Career Navigator
Six organizations, including the Institute, released an online resource to help health care leaders from underrepresented groups navigate their career path to senior-level positions. The Executive Diversity Career Navigator offers career development tools and information tailored to the needs and interests of diverse health care executives, including the "voice" of experienced health care leaders captured in multimedia. The tool will be updated regularly with new information and perspectives. In addition to the Institute, collaborators on the resource include American College of Healthcare Executives, Asian Healthcare Leaders Forum, LGBT Forum, National Association of Health Services Executives, and National Association for Latino Healthcare Executives.
