  • The Arizona Office of Tourism and Visit Mesa tweeted about it.
  • Visit Tucson included a piece about AWGA on their website.
  • Ponderosa Hotels included a full-page ad in Sedona Magazine promoting the Arizona Wine Travel Card, and the ad will be included in other magazines.
  • 1,500 cards sold and distributed (500 to AJ's); Zarpara Vineyards sold out of their first inventory lot.
  • AJ's in-store POS should be ready for stores soon.
  • Sedona Wine Experience giveaway is coming for February-March ($1,000 package).
  • Positive cards sales on website.
  • Arizona Vines and Wines will be selling the cards on their site.
  • Valentine's Day email blast is coming this week for Arizona Vines and Wines.
Have you purchased your cards yet? The cards sell for $20 each or, if you purchase during the promotion period, three cards for $40. Contact Patti King at info@arizonawine.org to get your cards.

Arizona Legislative Report
Dorn Policy Group Inc. via Arizona Wine Growers Association

As of early February, there were nearly 900 bills posted, and the deadline for introduction was Feb. 4 in the Senate and Feb. 11 in the House, so this number will likely grow. Discussion has centered on budget negotiations and reactions to Gov. Jan Brewer's proposal. The updated bill tracking list shows that HB2339, which will allow for alternating proprietorships, has been assigned to the House Agriculture and Water Committee.
