Orangeville Citizen
For a third year, residents of Pheasant Drive in Orangeville's west end have had to deal with the heavy dust and debris, not to mention diesel fumes and noise, from a nearby Veterans Way development. Sarah Properties of Woodstock is preparing 77 acres (31 hectares) of land immediately north of the former CP Rail tracks east of Veterans Way. The plan is to construct 274 residential units, as well as industrial and park land.

Tax auditors target condo sellers in hunt for 'flippers'
Toronto Star

Tax auditors have been targeting the once red-hot Toronto and Vancouver real estate markets, looking primarily for people who bought condos before they were built, intending to flip them for a profit as soon as the project is complete.

The Grid

The report, funded by Genworth Canada, the largest private provider of mortgage default insurance in the country, says the sector will avoid a major downturn because of population growth and employment gains which will drive demand and soak up supply.
