AHEC Sponsors 4th Annual Student Forum
On April 20, 2017 AHEC welcomed 55 soon to graduate students from Houston Area Radiologic Technology Programs. The specialty program offered a day of education that encompassed a review of how to get ready for their certification exam, how to write an acceptable resume, and the pathways for career development. Students finished the day with teams that competed in a round of Jeopardy. It was a day filled with fun and information. A special "hats-off" to those that attended. We are sorry that some students couldn't make this time. Next year's events are already in the planning.

AHEC Adds New Schedule for Webinar Topics
Hey!,We heard you. AHEC is adding more times and more choices to our webinar schedule. There is a significant addition of times and topics for both webinars and simulcasts. Our broadcast schedule has been extended in April from Jump Start Mondays and Third Thursdays webinars to Tuesdays and some additional Saturdays.

Our goal is to make your convenience our top priority. April's schedule featured multiple faculty providing different days and 1 to 3 CE credits during the week and 3 to 5 credits on Saturday. In May, the schedule will still feature Mondays and Thursdays with Wednesdays and Saturdays additional. Featured broadcasts in May are the CT miniconference on May 20 and the Perfect Partnership with Dan Brown, M.D. which will be rebroadcast on May 6. If you missed his connctions in San Antonio or Dallas, don't miss out on this event.

AHEC has increased the remote online offerings by adding Xavier Allen, BA, recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, to our digital department. Xavier is a special person who can work with our faculty and our attendees to achieve what the best mix of programming will be to provide the most choices at the right times. If you need special help, Xavier will be delighted to walk you through the process of setup for webinars and simulcast. It's really easy and you can watch our informational "how to" videos at www.aheconline.com. If you would like to be featured as faculty in our webinar series just give us a call. We always want new ideas and topics. 800-239-1361.

We have also added some physician approved CME in the webinar series and featured in April and May is "Ethics and CT Dose Reduction for Physicians." This meets the required ethics CME for physicians and has visible benefits for those physicians involved with CT ordering and applications.
