According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), Inc., one in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. It's a staggering statistic, but there is hope. Over 3.3 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the U.S. today. Death rates from breast cancer are on the decline in part due to better screening, increased awareness, improving treatment options, and early detection.
