CEEDA 2014/2015 CROP DRYER TECHNICIAN TRAINING PROGRAM

CEEDA is pleased to offer a Crop Dryer Technician Training program from December 1 through 12, 2014. The specific location has yet to be determined but it will be within the Guelph to London corridor with convenient access to Highway 401 or secondary highways. The program details are outlined in the information package included in the READ MORE area of this article. The required documents must be submitted to CEEDA no later than November 15, 2014 should you wish to register participants for this course. More

Caterpillar E2 series mini-excavators overcome emissions challenges with high-def hydraulics, smart technology

High-definition is a term normally associated with televisions, but Caterpillar is using it to describe a new hydraulic system that plays a crucial role in the company’s next generation of mini-excavators. The new Caterpillar E2 series of mini hydraulic excavators, introduced to the press in Clayton, North Carolina, in September, include five models ranging from 3.5- to 8-tons with engines from 23.5- to 48.5-horsepower. The individual models are the 303.5E2, 304E2, 305E2, 305.5E2 and 308E2. One of the biggest challenges the company faced in bringing these machines to market was how to meet emissions regulations without sacrificing performance. More
