Briggs & Stratton (BGG) buys Brazil power equipment provider
Briggs & Stratton said it has bought Companhia Caetano Branco of Brazil for about $57 million in cash for the stock of the company, adjusted for certain liabilities. Briggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, financed the transaction from cash on hand. The acquisition is not anticipated to have a significant impact on sales or earnings in fiscal 2013.More

Extendable arms for Harso slurry injector

Danish firm Harso has developed a trailed slurry injector that offers similar working widths to your average dribblebar set-up. Launched at last month's Agromek show in Denmark, the 10-tonne prototype injector can cover 24 metres with two tramline passes. The first pass sees the two 6m sections cover the 12 metres width directly behind the main frame. For the second pass the frame sections slide outwards to an extended position to work the ground 6-12 metres either side of the tramline.More
