9. New chapter for McCormick, Landini with latest range of tractors

Oct. 17, 2013: Following on from the McCormick X7 tractor series preview at Sima in February, the manufacturer's parent company, Argo Tractors, has now launched equivalent Landini versions along with several additional models for both of its flagship brands. James Rickard reports. At its largest product launch to date, Argo Tractors showed off its latest machines along with more than a glimpse at where the company is heading, both in terms of products and ambition.

7. Next generation tractor from Kioti

Aug. 29, 2013: The new NX series will be made up of four models from 45 to 60HP and can be specified with either a 24x24 creep speed gear box or Kioti's new Advanced HST system with incorporates Auto throttle and adjustable HST response controls. Both the Manual and HST models feature Kioti's popular Auto PTO system which links the PTO to the three point linkage allowing the PTO to automatically engage when the linkage is lowered and shut off once raised.

6. Quebec backs Massey dealer's ownership change

Oct. 24, 2013: The Quebec government's economic development lender has put up $900,000 in loans and guarantees for a Massey Ferguson dealership to consolidate its ownership. Investissement Quebec will provide Dany Lafrance and Martin Nolin, the sales and service managers respectively at Champoux Machineries, with a $650,000 loan and a guarantee for another $250,000 loan.

5. Kubota announces opening of $73 million production facility

April 11, 2013: Kubota Corporation has announced the grand opening of its new $73 million manufacturing facility at Kubota Industrial Equipment in Jefferson, GA. The 522,000-square-foot plant on the 88-acre site recently began production of Kubota's 30- to 50-horsepower compact tractor models. The grand opening event was co-sponsored by Kubota Tractor Corporation, the U.S. marketer and distributor of Kubota tractors and equipment.

2. Fiat Tractor Group announces internal merger plans

Feb. 28, 2013: Fiat's industrial tractor division announced its plans to merge with a second unit controlled by Fiat, and roll both into another merger with a Dutch unit. Fiat Industrial SpA will be merged with its CNH Global N.V. unit, and later with a Dutch unit, the company said. The terms and conditions of the proposal are in line with a plan signed last November, the company added.

1. John Deere launches loyalty rewards program

May 30, 2013: John Deere has launched a new rewards program that can mean sizable discounts, financing offers and other benefits for the company's loyal customers. GreenFleet Loyalty Rewards is meant to pay back customers who have purchased at least two qualified John Deere products.
