• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


Morbark produces first boxer compact loader

The first Boxer compact utility loader has rolled off the Morbark production line. Morbark, a leading manufacturer of tree care, sawmill, recycling, forestry and biomass chipping and grinding equipment, had acquired Boxer Equipment, a product line of Mertz Manufacturing, at the end of 2012. In June, Morbark is scheduled to reach its full production capacity.

Vogelsang XTill makes the most of slurry

Two establishment techniques unfamiliar to U.K. forage maize growers are combined in a novel two-pass system that could cut cultivation costs as well as exploiting the nutrient value of farm slurry more effectively. The XTill system devised by German slurry application equipment specialist Vogelsang proposes moving from overall cultivation to strip tillage, applying and incorporating slurry in a single pass, and subsequently sowing forage maize into the prepared strips of soil.

Schramm introduces new drill
Mechanics Hub
A state-of-the-art drilling rig, made primarily for oil and gas drilling in the Marcellus and Utica Shale areas, was designed and constructed by Schramm, a 113-year old company based on the outskirts of West Chester. The 102-foot-tall rig, when fully extended, comes with a $7.65 million price tag. The first T500XD Telemast drill rig was recently sold and will be shipped within a month from Schramm's 14 building, 27-acre property.

Volvo updates SD115 soil compactor with new features
Equipment World
Volvo Construction Equipment has updated their SD115 soil compactor, and the machine now includes a Tier 4 interim engine. The SD115 is available with either a four-cylinder 147.5-horsepower or six-cylinder 173-horsepower Volvo engine. The compactor's hydraulically-operated engine cooling fan runs only when needed, reducing both fuel consumption and noise levels.
