• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


John Deere takes on Chinese rivals with new loader

U.S. manufacturer John Deere has rolled out a new, low-cost loader for the Russian market, where the rule of similar Chinese models has been virtually unchallenged. Low-end loaders typically sell for $80,000 in Russia, whereas high-end models cost at least triple that.

Mahindra & Mahindra posts 30 per cent growth in tractor sales in U.S.

Even as the domestic tractor sales continued to remained tepid, India's largest tractor maker, Mahindra & Mahindra has posted 30 per cent growth in retail sales in the United States of America for FY-13 selling over 10,000 tractors. The wholesale numbers for the last fiscal grew by 7 per cent.

New Holland tractors rolling off forecourt after 2 prestigious deals

The larger of the two sales saw four T5050 tractors supplied to the Weston-on-the-Green branch of Continental Landscapes, in Oxfordshire, which works with customers from the south coast of England all the way to Scotland. The second was a particularly high-status agreement with the famous Blenheim Palace estate in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

Caterpillar CEO talks hybrid tech, rental business at Bauma
Equipment World
Noting that the 2010 Icelandic volcano prevented him from attending the last Bauma show, Doug Oberhelman, Caterpillar president and CEO, used that circumstance as an example of how much technology has advanced in just three years during remarks made recently at the international trade show. Cat is showcasing its 336E H hydraulic hybrid excavator as a key technological advance. "It's the most revolutionary machine to come to the market in decades," said Oberhelman, "and the largest crowds in our booth have been around that machine."

Titan Machinery announces fiscal Q4 results

Titan Machinery has reported financial results for the fiscal fourth quarter and full year ended Jan. 31, 2013. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013, revenue increased 29.2 per cent to $784.5 million from revenue of $607.0 million in the fourth quarter last year. All four of the company's revenue sources — equipment, parts, service, and rental and other — contributed to this period-over-period revenue growth.

Polaris acquires European quadricycle manufacturer

Polaris Industries announced that it has acquired A.M. Holding S.A.S., which operates under the name Aixam Mega S.A.S. The company, based in Aix-les-Bains, France, manufactures and sells enclosed on-road quadricycles and light-duty commercial vehicles in Europe. The company's enclosed quadricycles are lightweight four-wheeled vehicles that operate at low speeds. In many countries, they can be driven without a full automobile driver's license.

Greaves Cotton gets into mini tractors

The farm equipment division of Greaves Cotton has launched its first ever, compact mini tractor called "Ustad" for farmers with small landholdings. The company, however, has not yet announced the price. Greaves Ustad, in the 11-12 HP range, is an entry-level tractor and caters to a land holding size of 3-5 acres. Designed primarily for farming operations, the tractor can be used in operations such as haulage.
