• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


Sudbury paves way to allow ATVs permanently on city streets

ATVs moved a little closer to permanently being allowed on many Sudbury city streets. City councillors on the operations committee liked what they heard about the two year trial period for the new ATV bylaw. New Holland precision management controls all machines with one screen

Producers who use New Holland tractors now have the ability to control several brands of farm implements and machines from the cab of their tractor using their New Holland IntelliView IV color touchscreen display. "The new system allows producers to use our display to control a mixed fleet of implements. In the past, guys had to use multiple displays, one for every implement," said Chris Carrier, marketing manager for New Holland.

Wacker adds infrared remote control for roller, plates

Wacker now has an infrared remote control system for its RT trench roller and reversible plates that requires the operator to maintain line-of-sight view of the equipment at all times. The SC (Smart Control) line-of-sight system works in tandem with a built-in "safety zone" that stops the machine should the operator come within about 6 feet of the machine.

Mahindra announces strong April sales, Dealer Days promotions

Mahindra & Mahindra's farm equipment sector reported strong figures for tractor sales in April as it posted a 38 per cent rise in sales. Mahindra Tractors began fiscal year 2014 with domestic sales in April 2013 showing a 38 per cent growth for the first time since November 2012. JCB celebrates 1 millionth machine: a JS220 tracked excavator

JCB recently celebrated its 1 millionth machine rolling off the assembly line with a big event at the company's headquarters in the U.K.. The company wrapped the entire glass frontage of its headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, England with a graphic wrap announcing the milestone and hundreds of JCB employees gathered together to celebrate. The 1 millionth machine, a silver JS220 tracked excavator, is also being proudly displayed in the HQ's reception area.

Buhler reports strong sales of tractors

Buhler Industries is reporting continued strong demand for its tractors, seeding and tillage equipment. The Winnipeg-based company is reporting $95 million in revenue for the second quarter, just off last year's record setting second quarter revenue of $103 million. Sales are projected to be slightly lower this year due to the dry conditions in much of North America last summer and this year's late spring start.

Royal Enfield capacity set for 175,000 bikes in 2013

Royal Enfield has started commercial production from its new $2.1 million manufacturing facility in Oragadam, India, giving the Eicher Motors-owned brand a production capacity of 175,000 bikes for 2013. The plant is spread over 50 acres, and will begin with a production capacity of 150,000 in the first phase.
