• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


Ditch Witch launches JT25, its quietest horizontal directional drill yet

Ditch Witch has launched its latest horizontal directional drill, the JT25. Designed for utility pipe and cable installs up to four inches in diameter, the JT25 boasts thrust and pullback of 27,000 pounds and 4,000 foot-pounds of torque. The drill is capable of installs at lengths of up to 500 feet.

More new models join Honda's 2014 lineup

Honda Canada has announced the introduction of three more brand-new 2014 models showcasing the wide reach of Honda engineering. Most notably will be the Grom, a 125 cc entry-level street machine that will replace the CBR125 as Honda's smallest road bike. On the dirt side of things, Honda also introduced the Pioneer 700 two-seater side-by-side UTV and an all-new, completely redsigned CRF250R.

Strategic deal sees Deere sell Kuhn's large square balers

Following a strategic co-operation agreement with the Kuhn Group, John Deere has been selling limited quantities of its high capacity 1400 series large square balers in Ireland, which are now available for the 2013 season. There are three basic models in the range, the 1433, 1424 and 1434, respectively producing bales 80cm wide by 90cm high, 120cm by 70cm and 120cm by 90cm.

App automatically calls for help after a tractor accident

Tractor rollovers are the single deadliest type of farm accident in the United States. Latest figures from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) said there are approximately 250 tractor rollover fatalities each year. A research team at the University of Missouri has begun final testing of an app for mobile electronic devices that may save some of those lives.

New small vertical-axis wind turbine uses sailing technology

An Exeter firm has designed a new small vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) that uses sailing technology to overcome the performance and structural limitations of conventional VAWT designs. Tradewind Turbines says that its design is efficient in low wind speeds and outperforms both propeller-type horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWT) and other VAWT designs of a similar size.
