Alberta irrigation water supply forecast looks good

Irrigation water is available in Alberta's 13 irrigation districts, but use had been minimal because seeding was still underway. "The water is in most of the canals, but because of the cool, wet conditions, the demand is not very high," said Alberta Irrigation Projects Association executive director Ron McMullin.

Masterfarm Kwick-Kleen keeps crops clean

Colchester-based Master Farm Services has introduced a novel cleaning system for all types of crops. Called the Kwick-Kleen grain cleaner, it involves a set of perforated tab agitator augers that give 360deg cleaning. The units are compact, says the company, can run off hydraulic or electric drive and have a large cleaning area.

John Deere announces allied agreement with Dawn Equipment Companyf

John Deere has announced an alliance with Dawn Equipment Company, Inc., a manufacturer specializing in ground engaging tools and active control systems for planters. S.D. equipment company offers Case IH new track technology

Chris Scott of Scott Supply Co. of Mitchell, S.D., said Case IH has "hit a home run" with its track tractors for row crops. The company extended its track technology with a four-track system that it says is superior to two in row-crop applications.
