• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.

StatsCan: Higher sales of farm supplies powered wholesale gains in April

Wholesale sales rose 1.5 per cent in April to $49.3 billion, soaring well above expectations mainly due to a huge increase in sales of agricultural supplies, Statistics Canada reported. But excluding the 48.5 per cent increase in agriculture supplies, overall sales were unchanged from March, the federal agency said. The second biggest advance was a 1.1 per cent rise in the machinery, equipment and supplies sub-sector, which partly offset a March decline. Sales in the building material and supplies sub-sector rose 0.5 per cent and the motor vehicle and parts sub-sector gained 0.2 per cent. More

After travelling 4,000 kilometres across Canada, and four years helping harvest crops and raise funds at the Big Quill Canadian Foodgrains Bank Community Growing Project, the Prairie Belle has been retired. The 1980 Massey Ferguson 860 combine became well known in 2000, when owner Nick Parsons drove it from his farm in Dawson Creek, B.C. to Ottawa to draw attention to the plight of Canadian farmers struggling to stay on the land.
