Unique seeder featured at farm show
The Western Producer
Clean Seed Agricultural Technologies hopes to recapture some of last year’s buzz around its smaller scale CX-6 seeder prototype. It has introduced a 60 foot unit with a central air feed from a high capacity product cart. Colin Rosengren, vice-president of agronomics, said this allows for individual points to shut off at each of the openers and for individual metering, row by row, for different products, different blends and different rates.

Massey Ferguson reveals first detail on new global series

Massey Ferguson, a worldwide brand of AGCO, has released information and a preview of its groundbreaking new Global Series tractors set to launch later this year. Backed by an investment of over $350 million from its parent company AGCO, and the result of more than six years’ of research and development, the Massey Ferguson Global Series is a brand-new product line of 60-130hp tractors which will ultimately be assembled at multiple manufacturing sites and sold globally.

Manure agitation boats making quite a stir

New manure agitation technology was demonstrated recently at an on-farm event attended by manure applicators, agency manure pit designers and others, including Agri-View. Marshland Acres Custom Heifer Raising near Durand was the site of this invitation-only demonstration of manure agitation boats. Some 150 attendees from five states showed up for what initially promised to be a rainy event until Mother Nature turned off the faucet.

Kawasaki's new Side x Side, from assembly to test drive

Miller revamps Big Blue 800 Duo Pro welder/generators to deliver more fuel savings

Boost power output while saving fuel with Miller’s revamped Big Blue 800 Duo Pro diesel-engine welder/generators, which offer estimated fuel savings of 34 percent when compared to two single operator units. The Tier 4 Final compliant unit delivers a 33-percent increase in rated power output that results in 27,000 watts of generator power and up to 800 amps of weld power for a single operator, or 400 amps each for two weld operators.
