• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


Updated John Deere 5E Series utility tractors

John Deere has updated its entire lineup of 5E Series Utility Tractors (45-100 horsepower) with new Interim Tier 4 engine models and more cab / open operator station and transmission options. This new 5E Series Tractor line now includes the new 85 and 100 horsepower 4-cylinder tractors, which replace the previous 83, 93 and 101 horsepower models, and four 3-cylinder models ranging for 45 to 75 horsepower.

Fendt GuideConnect: 2 tractors, 1 driver

Fendt GuideConnect, in which two tractors act as a unit, where one vehicle is unmanned, received a Gold Medal from the German Agricultural Society (DLG). With Fendt GuideConnect, two tractors are linked together to act as one unit. A guided, unmanned tractor follows a guidance vehicle when performing the same operating procedure, turning at the headlands and avoiding obstacles.

Mahindra's June tractor sales rise by 17 per cent

The Farm Equipment Sector of India's Mahindra & Mahindra sold 26,723 tractors in its domestic market in June, up from 22,493 units in June 2012, a growth rate of 19 per cent. Tractor exports for the same month came in at 1,026 units, pushing the company’s overall sales for June up by 17 per cent.

A number of new excavators from JCB headed for American shores

In the compact range, the 8018 CTS and 8026 CTS models are new to North America and benefit from some 30 design changes that have migrated into the company’s compact line. The biggest change comes in boom design. Previous models had a tubular boom fabrication. JCB strengthened this element with a box boom style construction. Hoses are routed through the center of the boom to protect them from damage.

Caterpillar unveils the M 32 E, increased power rating

Caterpillar Marine Power Systems announce the development of the MaK M 32 E, a new high performance marine diesel engine platform for the commercial marine industry based on the M 32 C engine series. The M 32 E engine boasts an increased power rating of 550 kW per cylinder @ 720 and 750 rpm and with total output ranging from 3,300 kW for the six cylinder configuration to 4,950 kW for the nine cylinder configuration.

Reco extends its Ovlac plough range

A year on from the brand's introduction, Reco revealed an addition to its Ovlac plough range, in the shape of a new mid-range 4/5-furrow model with a fixed/floating headstock rated to handle tractors up to 200hp. The new plough, which complements existing 160/220/260hp versions, can be specified with interbody clearances of 85cm or 95cm. The firm also launched a range of two/three-row stubble cultivators from the same maker, suited to working at depths of up to 40cm.
