Great Plains Manufacturing Inc. and Case IH, have announced the creation of a supply agreement. Under the agreement, Great Plains will supply Case IH with twin row planters to be sold through Case IH dealerships under the Case IH brand beginning in 2013. The company will continue to make its green-painted twin row planters and supply dealer demand. More

Caterpillar pays $510,000 for shipping, selling uncertified equipment in California

Caterpillar will pay a fine of $510,000 to the California Air Resources Board for shipping more than 590,000 on-road and off-road engines that did not have legally required emissions controls installed. The investigation of these violations was conducted with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Justice based on similar conduct outside of California. More

RPM buys MacDonald Machinery

Construction-equipment dealer MacDonald Machinery, established in Fort Wayne in 1965, has been acquired by RPM Machinery LLC. RPM is an Indiana company focused on buying industrial-equipment dealerships in agricultural and construction markets. The privately-owned company did not disclose the purchase price for MacDonald Machinery, but said in a written statement that it hopes to increase sales and add employees over the next 3 years. More

Case upgraded its SR250 and SV300 skid steer and TR320 and TV380 compact track loaders with Tier 4-Interim engines. Each now has a Case 90-horsepower diesel using full high-pressure common rail design with cooled EGR, a diesel particulate filter, and diesel oxidizing catalyst. Rated operating capacities are 2,500 pounds for the SR250; 3,000 pounds for the SV300; 3,200 pounds for the TR320; and 3,800 pounds for the TV380. More
