• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.

However, it is only this week that the specifications of the four different models, which were not available at that time, have been revealed. Shareholders approve combination of Fiat Industrial S.p.A., CNH Global N.V.

NH Global N.V. has announced that the shareholders of CNH Global N.V. met at an Extraordinary General Meeting and approved the merger between Fiat Industrial S.p.A. and CNH Global N.V. with and into a newly established company to be named CNH Industrial N.V. Subject to the closing of the transaction, CNH shareholders will receive 3.828 common shares of CNH Industrial for each CNH Global share they hold at the time of the merger.

Caterpillar second-quarter results may be weak

Caterpillar has released unaudited dealer data showing a slowdown in sales of its heavy equipment everywhere except North America, a possible warning sign ahead of the company's second-quarter earnings due. The world's largest maker of construction and mining equipment said global dealer sales of its yellow earthmoving machines were down 8 per cent year-over-year in June.

Sandvik compressor management system cuts costs, extends drill life

Recent test have indicated that the patented Sandvik Compressor Management System (CMS) has reduced fuel consumption by 20-35 per cent as well as extend the life of the engine and compressor and lowers emissions. The CMS can be installed on existing Sandvik rotary drills and was recently put to the test as Sandvik Mining teamed up with the coal producer, Cloud Peak Energy.
