Kubota's FY2015 revenues rise 5.2 per cent; continues its push into big ag

On the heels of a 5.2 per cent increase in revenues during its fiscal year 2015, Kubota says it plans to push ahead with further expansion into the large ag machinery market. The company reported its fiscal 2015 year-end results May 12 and surpassed its revenue outlook for both total and overseas markets for the farm and industrial machinery segment.

FarmLink rolls out Internet-based equipment sharing program

FarmLink recently introduced a new online farm equipment sharing community, called MachineryLink Sharing. The program connects idle equipment to users, bringing economic benefits to users and owners. According to USDA's 2012 Ag Census, farmers own approximately $244 billion in machinery and farm equipment, but much of it is unused during certain seasons. The program will focus on providing enhanced flexibility, cash flow and revenue, FarmLink said.

AGCO sees net sales fall 25 per cent in second quarter

As demand for farm equipment softens worldwide, machinery manufacturer AGCO continues to deal with falling sales. At AGCO, net sales fell to $2.1 billion in the second quarter of 2015, which represents a 24.8 per cent decrease year-over-year. The drop affected tractors and combines alike in North America, South America and Western Europe, according to the company's earnings release.

Production of articulated, 4WD 'Tribune' harvesters begin in 2016

AGCO and Trimble announce collaborative solution to connect agriculture data platforms

AGCO, a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment and infrastructure, and Trimble TRMB, announced recently that they are partnering to deliver wireless connectivity between AGCO's VarioDoc and AgCommand systems and the Trimble Connected Farm solution. The functionality is expected to be available to customers in North America in September and in Europe, Africa and the Middle East in the fourth quarter of 2015.
