• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


Driverless tractors become a first in farming

As the harvest nears, the employees of German farmer Klaus Muenchhoff are busy making the final checks on imposing tractors ready to roll into the golden fields. But these tractors are steel monsters with a difference — driverless and satellite-guided, they can operate on the fields with an accuracy of a few inches. Impervious to fatigue and indifferent to poor visibility, they reduce distances travelled by each vehicle, saving their owner fuel costs and improving crop yields.

JD Equipment boasts 'world's largest combine clinic'

JD Equipment has announced they will be holding the 4th annual World's Largest Combine Clinic, at their store. Registration is now open for this event. At the World's Largest Combine Clinic, participants will attend a half day session in which they choose three out of four classes to attend. These classes go in-depth on a range of combine and harvest related topics. There will be back to back sessions, in which participants can choose to attend either the morning or afternoon session.

Teagle adds to Tomahawk range

Cornish machinery maker Teagle has added another model to its recently developed range of feeder bedders. The new linkage-mounted T7100 joins the 2012-launched T8100 and T8500 in the Tomahawk line-up. It replaces the popular T808 and improvements include increasing the bale chamber capacity by 20 per cent, according to the company.

Monosem's twin row planter narrows corn rows, keeps 30" centre

While there is increased interest in narrow row corn both north and south of the Canadian border, the harvest equipment required for 15" row corn isn't exactly the norm. Sure, the Geringhoff header may one day mean row width doesn't matter, but in the interim, 30" centres are the norm. In response to the interest in narrower row, Monosem has been testing out a 30"-paired row unit, where seed is dropped 4" on either side of centre line, meaning that you can still use standard corn header.
