• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.

Finning revenue rises on higher sales of new equipment

Heavy equipment dealer Finning International said that revenue rose on strong sales of new equipment but higher costs dragged down profit. Finning, the largest dealer of Caterpillar equipment, said that net income fell 1 per cent to $81 million, or 47 cents per basic share, in the second quarter. Sales of new equipment in Canada rose 64 per cent with strong demand from mining and heavy construction industries. More

Ritchie Bros. reports higher Q2 profit, increases dividend

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers increased its quarterly dividend as it reported improved results for its second quarter. The increase came as Ritchie Bros. reported a quarterly profit of $31.3 million or 29 cents per share for the quarter ended June 30, up from a profit of $26.8 million or 25 cents per share a year ago. Auction revenues for the quarter grew 11 per cent to $127.2 million compared with $114.5 million for the same period in 2011. More
