• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


John Deere introduces new wireless data transfer technology

As more producers use new technology in precision agriculture, they will be gathering increasing amounts of machine and production data. In the past, they had to download the data on a memory card or a USB flash drive and then transfer the data to a computer in the farm office or at home. John Deere introduces Wireless Data Transfer, which enables the wireless transmission of data between the GreenStar 3 2630 display, MyJohnDeere.com, and the producer's farm management information system.

Ritchie Bros. sets record at Houston auction

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers sold more than $53 million of heavy equipment, trucks and other industrial assets during a two-day unreserved public auction in Houston, TX recently. The auction set new company records for the most items ever sold at a Texas auction, as well as the largest online gross auction proceeds at a Houston auction. Equipment highlights in the auction included 160+ T/A truck tractors, 70+ agricultural tractors, 60+ rough terrain cranes, a large selection of construction equipment and much more.

Mahindra tractors sales up 7 per cent in August

Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector, a part of the $16.2 billion Mahindra Group, announced the total tractor sales numbers for August 2013, which stood at 13,543 units in the domestic market as against 12,394 units during August 2012, a growth of 9 per cent. The company's overall sales have grown by 7 per cent standing at 14,158 units during August 2013.

Available in three models ranging from 350 to 400 engine HP, these rugged and reliable tractors are designed to meet the demanding, high-productivity needs of today's progressive growers. Specifically designed for agricultural applications, the AGCO POWER 98, a 9.8L, seven-cylinder diesel engine hits the power "sweet spot" with an impressively long torque curve and high torque rise at low RPMs. By eliminating the need to downshift, operators work more efficiently with less fuel consumption.

Kverneland cuts weight on its drills

The layout on Kverneland's latest U-drill may be similar to existing models, with packer tyres leading two rows of discs, then a staggered row of packer/transport tyres and a new double-disc coulter assembly. As well as a continuous flow for the fan, the U-drill needs only one single-acting hydraulic service and just 3.5 litres of oil. In-cab selection and transducers on the depth adjustment cylinders enable the U-drill operator to alter depth on the move and lift out the front tyres.

John Deere shows new tractors, combines and balers

The new 7R Series gets more power and a new range-topper — the 7310R. This will be the first Deere to have a Stage IV engine and both EGR + SCR technology and it goes into production in April. All other 7R Series tractors will remain powered by Deere's Stage IIIB engines until these run out, according to Deere's vice-president of sales and marketing Christoph Wigger.

The new NX series will be made up of four models from 45 to 60HP and can be specified with either a 24x24 creep speed gear box or Kioti's new Advanced HST system with incorporates Auto throttle and adjustable HST response controls. Both the Manual and HST models feature Kioti's popular Auto PTO system which links the PTO to the three point linkage allowing the PTO to automatically engage when the linkage is lowered and shut off once raised.
