New generation 5M Series tractors from John Deere
Pitchcare
The next generation of John Deere's 5M Series tractors has been designed to meet the needs of small and medium size livestock, arable, mixed and speciality farms. The range consists of four higher horsepower models from 75 to 115hp and features Stage III B compliant engine technology. These redesigned machines will be available from January 2014 in the following versions.

The newest model in the AGCO TerraGator line of applicators was unveiled at this year's MAGIE Show. The TG9300B meets Tier 4 Final standards and is geared toward large farm operations. This is the largest model of AGCO's three-wheel fleet and will be available for the 2014 application season, even though it is a 2015 year model. The new model is equipeed with a 425-hp engine with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Kinze expands factory to build new planters

Kinze is expanding facilities in Iowa to accommodate the strong demand for the new 4900 planter model. The 4900 is a 30" spacing, front folding planter available in 12, 16 and 24 rows. Test results released on E-15 fuel impact on snowmobiles

The U.S. Department Of Energy (DOE) released a study conducted by Michigan Technological University that was designed to evaluate the effects of E-15 fuel on current and legacy snowmobile engines and vehicles. Three test scenarios were conducted to evaluate the impact of E-15, including cold-start performance and emissions; snowmobile drivability; and laboratory exhaust emissions over the useful life of the engine.

OPP offers safety tips when driving with farm vehicles

AGCO and Russian Machines create $100 million joint venture

AGCO and Russian Machines, part of the Basic Element group and one of the leaders in the Russian machinery sector, announced the creation of a new joint venture in order to manufacture and distribute agricultural equipment and replacement parts in Russia. AGCO and Russian Machines plan to make a total investment of approximately $100 million in the joint venture over the next three years. The joint venture is expected to begin operations in early 2014, with AGCO and Russian Machines each having an equal ownership.

Value-priced Prowler added to Arctic Cat lineup

When Arctic Cat developed its 2014 Prowler 500 HDX, it had a key demographic in mind. The new side-by-side is directed at the price-conscious ATV owner who's ready to enter the UTV world. "It's a price-point model that's an easier step if a guy's coming off of an ATV, which is what a lot of side-by-side customers are coming from now," Arctic Cat marketing communications manager John Tranby told Powersports Business.
