This past February, John Deere Construction & Forestry announced a strategic alliance with Topcon Positioning Systems that enabled John Deere to sell, support and factory-install Topcon's 3D-MC2 grade control solutions on John Deere dozers and motor graders. Customers can now order a John Deere dozer or motor grader with a Topcon 3D-MC2 grade control system, installed in a John Deere factory and ready the moment the machine rolls off the dealership trailer. Fruit-picking machine unveiled

A mechanical apple harvesting aid that could save growers more than 35 per cent on labour costs made its debut in Chatham-Kent recently. The $80,000 machine, manufactured in Spain, attracted the attention of several fruit farmers from the Cedar Springs area as well as from neighbouring Essex County. Werner Zurbuchen of Tazu Technology Fruit and Farm Equipment of Waterford, said the machines are in widespread use in Europe and South America. More
