Deere's speedier transmission can cut fuel costs

New Holland puts auto-steer in reverse

A new feature of New Holland's auto-guidance system, IntelliSteer, is expected to give farmers the ability to engage and acquire a guidance swath while running a four-wheel-drive tractor in reverse. New Holland's T9 series tractors will be among the first tractors in the industry with this capability, the company said in a release. Previously, four-wheel-drive vehicles could only engage guidance swaths when traveling in the forward direction, 'due to the complex geometry associated with articulated machines,' the company said.
