Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association – Organizational Purpose and Mission

• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


Quebec backs Massey dealer's ownership change

The Quebec government's economic development lender has put up $900,000 in loans and guarantees for a Massey Ferguson dealership to consolidate its ownership. Investissement Quebec will provide Dany Lafrance and Martin Nolin, the sales and service managers respectively at Champoux Machineries, with a $650,000 loan and a guarantee for another $250,000 loan.

Kuhn extends mower range

Kuhn has upped the working width of its contour-following triple mower conditioners. On the front there's a new FC3025F with an adjustable conditioner speed and new suspension system, and the hydraulic folding side guards are designed to be more robust. Side shift of the rear butterflies is standard but, unlike the previous model where it moved both mowers outwards, the new FC9530 moves the trailing mowers inwards by 40cm.

You could argue that the high clearance sprayer is one of the hardest working pieces of equipment on the farm. While planters and combines roll in intense spring and fall seasons, the sprayer runs early, often and sometimes even late into the fall for that all-important fall weed control pass. Choosing between a front mount or rear mount high clearance sprayer is a matter of farm needs and preference, but capacity and driver comfort likely rank high on the priority list.

Kubota enters hay tools and spreaders market

Kubota Tractor Corporation announced today that it will enter the U.S. hay market in 2014 with an all-new line of Kubota Hay Tools. The new machinery further expands Kubota's strength in the agricultural market, and will allow its dealers to serve as a convenient, one-stop destination for Kubota tractors, hay implements and spreaders. The new implements will be produced by Kverneland Group, a leading international company that develops, produces and distributes agriculture machinery.

Swedish equipment firm buys Seed Hawk

A small hamlet in southeastern Saskatchewan will be the base for a prominent Swedish planting and tillage equipment maker to set itself up in the North American ag market. Vaderstad-Verken AB announced it will buy full ownership of Seed Hawk, the Langbank, SK-based air seeder manufacturer in which it's held a minority stake since 2006.

At its recent product launch, Fendt showed off its updated 800 and 900 Series tractors, extra Katana models, CargoProfi loaders and a glimpse into future electric drive concepts with the latest version of their X concept project. James Rickard looks at the developments. Complying with new Stage 4 emissions regulations, Fendt's latest 800 and 900 Vario series tractors offer more durable transmissions, hydraulics which consume less energy and a new tyre pressure regulation system.

Terex launches the TSV-90, its largest skid steer yet

Terex has introduced its latest and largest skid-steer loader yet, the TSV-90. Designed for heavy pick-and-carry and large production loading applications, Terex's new TSV-90 features a vertical lift path and is powered by an 85-horsepower Tier 4 interim-compliant Cummins turbocharged engine. The skid steer boasts 3,375 pounds of rated operating capacity and a 131-inch lift height.

India: Mahindra launches tiny tractor 'Yuvraj' for hill farms

Leading automobile manufacturers Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) rolled out its 15 HP tractor 'Yuvraj 215' for farmers of India's hill states. "Mahindra's Yuvraj 215 is compact, fuel efficient and easy to operate tractor, suitable for hill farms," claimed Sunil Johnson, Senior General Manager, M&M, said.

New chapter for McCormick, Landini with latest range of tractors

Following on from the McCormick X7 tractor series preview at Sima, the manufacturer's parent company, Argo Tractors, has now launched equivalent Landini versions along with several additional models for both of its flagship brands. At its largest product launch to date, Argo Tractors showed off its latest machines along with more than a glimpse at where the company is heading, both in terms of products and ambition.

Argo to replace more tractors in the next 2 years

Following the launch of its McCormick X7 and Landini 6 and 7 Series tractors, Argo has also announced it will be replacing several of its other models and adding additional models to the top-end of its portfolio. Starting at the bottom, replacing the McCormick C-max will be the X4. It will feature six models ranging from 60hp to 101hp. The transmission will be Argo's own, which will have 12 forward and 12 reverse gears, plus a slitter in each gear.

New Allison TC10 tractor transmission averages 5 per cent fuel savings

Allison Transmission Holdings has announced that the new TC10 tractor transmission is now offered on Navistar's International ProStar and TranStar models with MaxxForce 13 engines with SCR. This is the first offering of the fully automatic TC10. Navistar has begun to accept orders, and expects initial deliveries to occur in the first quarter of 2014.

Valtra brings in power boost for its S series as the N series expands
