Doosan-Bobcat announced the selection of Charter Software as one of its two preferred business system vendors for its Bobcat dealers. The announcement came as a result of the company's decision to phase out Navision, the software long-used by Bobcat dealers. After a rigorous review of business systems, Charter was selected based on their prominent relationships with industry suppliers and dealer associations, their ability to serve a variety of dealer types — ranging from smaller, one-location dealerships to larger multi-store operations, as well as high ratings from current users of Charter's business management system, ASPEN. Mechanics Hub    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Equipment operators take note of machine features that make their jobs easier and safer — features that might seem minor, but can reflect an attention to detail that characterizes the overall design of a machine. The 370E and 410E replace, respectively, two former D-Series II models, the 350D and 400D, but the 460E is a new size for Deere, and its capacity allows it to work efficiently with Deere's largest hydraulic excavator. Deere's ADT lineup is completed with two remaining D-Series models, the 25.5-ton 250D and the 30-ton 300D. More

Husqvarna introduces a tool-free way to change mower blades
Consumer Reports    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Lawn-tractor blades tend to cut most evenly when they're designed to either mulch, side-discharge or bag what you cut, not a combination of all three. Since changing blades is a hassle involving tools and tight maneuvering, some manufacturers offer blades intended for two or all three mowing modes but they don't cut as well.
