• The purpose of Canada East Equipment Dealers' Association is to promote and enhance the general welfare of retail equipment dealers primarily in the Province of Ontario and Maritime Provinces.

• Our mission is to promote and enhance the general welfare of our dealer members by providing a timely source of industry information, representing dealer interests in government regulation and legislation, enhancing dealer and employee education, supporting equitable dealer/manufacturer relations and offering specific business-related services which enhance the success and profitability of dealer members.


New Holland T8 Tractor wins the Machine of the Year 2014

Canadian air drill vs. German planter

In an informal trial in southern Alberta, canola fields seeded through an air drill and canola fields seeded through a corn planter had equal yields of 40 bushels per acre. However, canola grower Stephen Petluk says yield is not the most important factor in the equation. Canola growers who seed with a corn planter say it isn't necessarily just about yield.

Cervus Equipment announces Q3 2013 results

Cervus Equipment has announced its financial results and operational highlights for the quarter. "Record harvests in Western Canada contributed to a consecutive quarter of record overall revenue," said Graham Drake, President and CEO of Cervus. During the three-month period ended Sept. 30, 2013, revenue grew by $26.8 million or 11.5 per cent to $260.8 million compared to the same period in 2012.

M&M to launch range of heavy-duty vehicles

Mahindra and Mahindra is gearing up to launch a range of heavy duty commercial vehicles to strengthen its product portfolio over the next couple of months in the tough declining market. "We are planning to introduce 25 tonne GVW (gross vehicle weight) with 9 speed gear box tipper, 40 tonne tractor trailer with 6 speed gear box for short haulage applications and 49 tonne tractor trailer," said Nalin Mehta, managing director and CEO of Mahindra Trucks and Buses.

Lindner wows audience with four-wheel-steer tractor

One of the quirkier tractor launches came from Lindner, a company that currently doesn't sell into the U.K. The Austrian maker is popular in hilly regions thanks to its low centre of gravity which means it can work on alpine-style slopes of up to 60 per cent, but it was its unusual four-wheel steer tractor that drew in the punters.
